The National Institute of General Medical Sciences, National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases sponsored a series of studies a while ago. In the studies conducted in this context, researchers ended up testing the various effects of Cannabidiol on the SARS-CoV-2.
These researchers also checked out how CBD interacted with the concerned virus in both mice and human cells. The National COVID Cohort Collaborative also provided health-oriented data about people who have been prescribed CBD medication for preventing CBD seizures.

What Did The Researchers Find Out?
During the course of the research in both cases mentioned above, it was found that the CBD has protective tendencies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The same was seen for the mice. However, this was not true for people who were suffering from seizures. In fact, it was found that when it was combined with THC, the protective effects of the same were reduced.
