Staying healthy and looking good is what people want. We tend to do exercises and go on an extreme diet just to keep ourselves fit. Of course, there are various factors that can influence our aging AKA ‘biological clock’. Thus, maintaining a healthy diet is one factor for our longevity. 

Biologically, we tend to eat foods that can satisfy our wants and needs. Yet, we often forget the most important thing – its benefits to our bodies. Beautiful, glowing, and healthy skin depends on what food we intake. How do we maintain that ‘forever young’ skin? The answer lies within ourselves and how we take care of our own bodies. 

Now, are anti-aging foods real? Of course, it is real. Eating foods loaded with antioxidants, essential nutrients, healthy fats, and water will make a big difference. Thus, our body will surely like the improvement within our major systems. Thus, what we eat reflects on the skin. After all, our skin shows whether we have internal conflicts or issues inside our bodies.

Pomegranate Seeds

Pomegranate contains a jewel-like red seed that is sweet and juicy. The fruit itself is very healthy and is rich in vitamin C, potassium, and Fiber. The 48% vitamin C on the fruit is a recommended intake for a person in a day, making it an ideal fruit for staying healthy. 

The seeds can also help us in avoiding radical damages and can reduce internal inflammations. Also, it can keep our skin glowing and healthy because the fruit contains punicalagin. Punicalagin is one factor that reduces signs of aging. 

Potatoes (Sweet Potatoes)

Globally, sweet potatoes are a popular diet food. Yet, few people know what benefits it can give our bodies. Sweet potatoes contain an antioxidant called beta-carotene that can be eaten or converted into Vitamin A. Vitamin A is very important in keeping our body healthy. It can restore our skin elasticity, improve our cells, and can keep our skin looking young and fresh. 

Sweet potatoes are also a good source of Vitamin C and E. These two can protect our skin from harmful radicals and internal inflammations. Eating sweet potatoes can drastically change our skin and body. After all, it costs a little compared to the benefits we can get from it. 

Watercress

Watercress is a part of the Brassicaceae family (cabbage family) along with broccoli, and Brussels. It is a dark green color that grows in natural spring water. Historically, it is diet food for Roman soldiers during wars. Now, it is one of the superfoods that can benefit our bodies a lot. 

As a superfood, it has various benefits which can significantly change our bodies in a good way.

Papaya is a yard fruit that can be beneficial to our bodies. Like watercress, papayas are one of the superfoods that have various benefits to our body especially on our skin. It is very rich in antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins which can minimize glabellar lines and wrinkles.
