One con of buying luxury watches is their price, but you can always bank on the wristwatch being fashionable, of high function, and durable. As the 1996 Patek slogan says, “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.”

Expensive watches can work as insurance and heirlooms for your children and grandchildren. It is an investment not just in terms of money but the value of knowing how to use and take care of something expensive.
