Homemade recipe of Mexican pita

(Makes two serving of mexican pita)

  • 2 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 3/4 lb minced beef
  • 1 clove of garlic sliced in small part
  • 2 tea tablespoon of chili seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 3/4 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 cup of corn beans
  • 2 tablespoon of cream sour
  • 2 tablespoon of water
  • 1/2 cup of fresh coriander
  • 2 pita bread separated in half
  • 1 tomato sliced in cubes
  • 1 cup of minced salad
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat, add the onion and cook it. stirring occasionally for three minutes or until softened. After that, add the ground beef for another 3 or 4 minutes. Add garlic, chili seasoning, ground coriander, cumin, salt and pepper. Cook it for 4 minutes or until the ground beef has lost its pink color.

Add the corn, the sour cream and the water. Keep stirring for another two minutes and then, add half of the chopped coriander. Keep it warm.

When serving, divide the reserved beef on the half part of the pita. Garnish with tomato, lettuce and leftover of sour cream and the fresh coriander.
